Self~forgiveness: Sweet streams wash me down

Today's post is inspired by the song, Sweet Streams by Kirtana and just how the music reinforced the feelings I have associated with self~forgiveness experiences in my life.

Self~forgiveness, a core competency needed by all people; especially during these days of great upheaval that goes with mass~transformation experience.

As transformational icon Mahatma Gandhi phrased it
, "Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."

\
When you make mistakes, and you will, know  that God/Source Energy does not judge you for doing so; it is the dysfunctional cultural conditioning that corrupts your personal matrix and leads you to assume that your mistakes are unforgivable.

When this corruption is in play it's difficult to have the life experience that you most want as your inner~self is labeling you as unworthy.

Self~forgiveness is the way through this loop of pain and suffering.

Now let's take about 4 and 1/2 minutes to hear and feel this beautiful music.

<

Wasn't that experience a sweet and yet a powerful affirmation of the power of self~forgiveness?

To me it goes with the joy I experience through each and every self~forgiveness episode.  With each I am more free to be me.  I am more free to trust my inner~guidance system (intuition) and to know it's ok to take calculated risks.

Like all aspects of your life; freedom is an inside~out experience.  Despite the cultural controls being pushed on you it's your life.

The quality of your life is ultimately your choices.   Your will, discernment,  continued focus and unconditional love are the drivers of your alignment with your true nature.

You and me, let's all agree; to live to be free to be just you and me!

It's not about our physical appearance nor the manner in which we present socially; it's truly about the quality of the relationship with ourselves!

Remember Ray Stevens powerful lyrics in his , Everything is Beautiful classic

"Everything is beautiful in it's own way
Like a starry summer night
On a snow covered winter's day
And everybody's beautiful in an own way"

Letting others in on who you truly are

Epictetus, Greek philosopher (55 AD to 135 AD), authored the above quotation that speaks to our focus for this post.

"You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself."
 ~Galileo Galilei

Eminent scientist Galileo understood that people want to learn; however, they wont be pushed.

From the time of your birth you were eager to discover your world.
When you were born you approached everything in this manner..

As a child you embraced your developing life experience; learning, in the first 2 years of your life more than you will learn in the rest (according to child development professionals)

You engaged with your environment; exploration and experience became an important part of each day.

Also, at this time began your exposure to cultural conditioning; programming designed to make you compliant with the dominant themes of your culture.

The people who make up your environment often believe that...

Thus, the longer you live the more exposure you have to this conditioning. that pushes you away from authentic you!

In most cases, the people who make up your environment do not mean you harm; they to are conditioned to behave in the manner they do.

Ralph Waldo Emerson. American author and lecturer said it this way;

Yet to be true to authentic you is the most to noble cause to which you may aspire!

And, as Emerson elaborated,

Being at peace with yourself involves being true to your authentic nature; anything else brings stress and anxiety to you  as your inner yearnings and outer expression are in conflict.

A key to living authentically is to understand that living a values driven life fosters authenticity; if those values are derived from the urging of your divine soul.

When how you live your life is aligned with the wishes of your divine soul you are living authentically.

When you live your life with authenticity; the way in which you live and interact with others, and more importantly, yourself allows others to see clearly who you are.

In a highly conditioned world, like ours; living from authenticity stands out.
In addition, people who encounter you sense this authenticity and react from a deeper level of awareness.

This comes from the acknowledgement of one soul by another.

When you live with authenticity you feel alive and energized by life.

This river you experience is your alignment with God/Source Energy through your divine soul.

Others you meet will sense this inner flow of light and unconditional love and will respond in kind; from within their own level of authenticity alignment.

Thus the best way to express what you believe, to others, is through how you live your life; embody it!

Happy & Harmonious New Year 2016 -Allowing Vunerability to be your way to authenticity

As you  ponder your life experience during 2015 and consider what lies ahead for you on 2016 lets consider the benefits of a commitment to living from an authentic living perspective.

First lets begin with a working definition of authenticity. I selected professor and best selling author Brene Brown to provide us with this understanding.

Since this definition focuses on choices we make lets consider benefits that would accrue to you by making more enlightened life choices:

  • Increased happiness.  Happiness is a result of your dreams and your reality being in alignment.
  • Enhanced self-confidence. When how you think and what you do conform to what is natural for you; belief in self soars.
  • Reduced stress. Stress is the tension between who you are, at your core, and how you act. When your actions are supported by your core values life is sweeter. Live with courage!
Brene is a researcher and focuses on aspects of authenticity; like the power of vulnerability. Here is what Brene has to say about vulnerability.

Please invest some of your valuable time and watch Brene's TED talk video below to increase your awareness of how allowing yourself to be more vulnerable positively impacts your ability to live with authenticity!

I hope you discovered benefit in todays post and are encouraged to see clearly that

How to Tame Your Inner~Dragons

Each of us wrestles with fear based beliefs that threaten our sense of inner peace.  This sense is found at the nexus where our dominant beliefs and feelings are found.

For this discussion, let us employ the term 'thought dragons' to provide us with a common phrase that is meant to depict areas where concerns surface, in our consciousness.

These 'thought dragons', unchecked, will challenge you to stay aligned with your authentic self; the true source of your true power.

Your permission to live from your true nature and continual focus upon your sense of inner peace will place you in vibrational alignment with the loving energy of your authentic self.

By its nature, this alignment empowers you to challenge the fear based and false beliefs which have populated within. The source of these faux beliefs is the continual social conditioning you receive, from birth. Society seeks your compliance and dependence upon the dominant social structures of culture.

These socially conditioned beliefs are designed to get you to assimilate to the social models of your existing culture and to the belief that "resistance is futile".

The Star Trek franchise uses the idea of 'hive-mind', The Borg, to bring this concept into the public awareness. This idea of collective thinking is the basis for how social conditioning effects your individual thought process and thus your happiness.

Within this thought context is found the notion that individual differences do not matter;  that only the collective agreements of culture are to be recognized and allowed.

Thus, the notion of diversity has become a concept with no true connection to the societal lexicon of 'approved thought'.

This collective thought or social conditioning disallows the beauty of your uniqueness to be expressed. Yet, you were created to express from this uniqueness; to add your perspectives to what is our evolving field of consciousness.

How, you might inquire, will I be able to rise above this hive-mind thinking to express from the beauty of your authentic self?

Perhaps it is through this notion:

(Noela Evans is the author of Meditations for the Passages and Celebrations of Life: A Book, 1994)

Three keys to taming your inner dragons include:

  • To acknowledge and align with your authentic self and it's unique vibrational frequency through meditation upon source energy within.
  • To focus upon unconditional love and acceptance for yourself and others.
  • To accept and embrace your 'gut feelings'; inner knowing.

Learning to Trust Your Intuition

Today's powerful thought, above, reminds each of us to develop your relationship with your intuition to a point where it is your very best and most trusted friend.

Your intuition is aligned with both your soul and your Higher Self.

Your active acknowledgement and alignment with your intuition fosters direct contact with God/Source~ Energy and your soul's plan for this life experience.

The greater your vibrational~alignment with your authentic self the more effective will be your connection with and trust in your intuition; the soft~messenger from your soul/higher consciousness connection.

Learning to trust your intuition is a process.  When you were a young child you acted from your authentic self and after years of social conditioning you moved more toward outer directed thinking.

Outer directed thinking is fear based and is bound in approval seeking.  Inner-directed thinking is coming from the authentic place where the natural you is found,

Moving from outer to inner direction is the authentic way to happiness and inner peace.
It provides a foundation for the platform for the unique and beautiful you to express.

It frees you to be who you were created to be; where you are free to be you and I am free to me!

Being in vibrational alignment with your intuition removes you from the control of social conditioning and sets you free.

When you truly trust your intuition you are truly free from the dictates of social conditioning that has held you hostage and prevented you from living your life authentically!
